The 2008 Idaho Association of Counties Annual Conference will be held in Idaho Falls, Idaho, September 15 - 19, 2008.

The 2008 Idaho Association of Highway Districts will be held in Sun Valley, Idaho, November 12 - 14, 2008.

The 2009 Association of Idaho Cities Annual Conference will be held in Boise, Idaho, June 17 - 19, 2009.

The T2 Center is co-sponsoring a Maintenance Decision Support System MDSS) software demostration September 17, 2008 at the Doubletree Riverside Hotel in Boise. An MDSS is a computer based, customizable tool that provides winter maintenance personnel with route-specific weather forcast information and treatment recommendations. ITD is offering to tax-supported agencies within the State of Idaho, road equipment which is no further use to the Department. For more informaiton, click on the Equipment For Sale link to the left.

The latest sprind edition of the Idaho Technology Assistance Newsletter is now available for download. Click on the Publications link to download.

Wayne Herbel has been selected as the new Deputy Federal Aid Manager and has begun working for LHTAC January 22nd. Prior to accepting the Deputy Federal Aid Manager position, Wayne was the Area Engineer for District 4, 5, and 6 at the Idaho Transportation Department.

Now that there are three project managers working in the Federal Aid Program, the projects have been reasigned and grouped by ITD Districts.

Mike Moffett - Districts 1 & 2
Jerry Flatz - Districts 3 & 4
Wayne Herbel - Districts 5 & 6

A letter will be mailed out in the near future explaining the reorganization.

G. Dan Shirilla has been selected as the new Deputy Administrator for LHTAC.

LHTAC's latest collaboration with the T2 Center has resulted in the Idaho Technogy Assitance Newsletter. The newsletter will replace LHTAC's newsletter beginning September, 2007 is is now available on our website under the Publications link.

Best dates for submittal are same as Federal Aid Incentive Program. (Bridge Applications submittal dates are open year aound).

The Council has selected Lance Holmstrom as the new Local Highway Administrator, replacing Joe Haynes, P.E., effective immediately.

Join us to celebrate Joe Haynes' retirement from LHTAC, Thursday, September 13, 2007 at the Red Lion DownTowner Hotel from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. There will be refreshments so bring a toast or a great story to tell.

Annual elections were held during the Council Meeting June 22, 2007. Clark Kauffman was been elected as Chairman, J.R. Van Tassel was elected Vice-Chairman, and Shawn Larsen has been elected as the Secretary/Treasurer.

The Idaho Association of Counties has selected Gem County Commissioner Lan Smith to replace the retiring Tom Kerr.
