27th Annual Summer Institute in Tribal Planning
Join the Northwest TTAP and the EWU Tribal Planning Programs at the Riverpoint Campus near downtown Spokane for an exceptional learning opportunity. They will offer two intensive classes, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, including a one-day tour and field research project scheduled on a nearby reservation.
Lodging is available adjoining the EWU Riverpoint Campus downtown. The class can be taken as a non-credit class or as a college undergraduate or graduate class for credit.
Introduction to American Indian Tribal Planning offers an overview of the processes and evolution of tribal planning and its practice today. A one-day tour and “charrette” plan project on a nearby reservation is part of the class.
June 23-26, 2014 and August 14, 2014
Introduction to Tribal Transportation Planning offers an overview of all aspects of tribal transportation planning and transportation programs. There is a one-day tour to a local reservation that includes hands-on application of road inventory techniques.
July 7-10, 2014 and August 15, 2014
The non-credit registration fee is $150 per class.
These classes are educational and beneficial to state, county or city employees and the Northwest TTAP encourages and welcomes anyone interested in participating in them.
