FEMA Region 10 will be offering an ongoing training series to help floodplain administrators, surveyors, and other professionals better understand how to properly find Base Flood Elevations (BFEs) for use in floodplain management permitting, Elevation Certificates, and outreach efforts. Obtaining BFEs from the correct source is a fundamental part of ensuring buildings are built safely if in floodplains. This training will give attendees the tools in particular to read riverine Flood Insurance Study stream profiles and find BFEs, and also the appropriate sources for BFEs in every flood zone. Attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions and get more one-on-one assistance. Earn one CEC.

Each training will have limited attendance so that attendees can ask questions along the way. A Zoom link for each session will be sent the day of the training to those registered.
