Attention Locals: The Idaho Office of Emergency Management has grant funding available for use on local roads.
Funding application deadline for this year (2018) has been extended until October 31st.
The grant money is available for:
- Pre-disaster mitigation (for example, design and replacement of culverts or bridges that are under sized, slope stabilization, etc.)
and
- Flood Mitigation Assistance (response to Federally declared event damage)
To qualify your local agency must have a current adopted FEMA approved mitigation plan. Through this grant program there is funding available to develop or update a FEMA mitigation plan. There are also limited funds available for pre-development work and/or a study to determine the proper mitigation.
The grants are issued at a 75% grant, 25% match.
