Description
This is a 4 hour course split over two days. Each day class will be held virtually from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
This workshop will focus on learning how to identify common safety problems at existing unsignalized intersections and how to reduce crashes through proven low cost answers. In 2015, the data reveals that 80% of rural intersection fatalities occurs at unsignalized intersections. While 23% of Idaho’s population lives in rural areas 56% of all fatalities occur in rural areas. We will discuss innovative solutions to remedy intersection location and layout problems, warning signs, regulatory and guide signing and markings.
This class can be applied as an elective to the Road Scholar/Road Master Program. Must attend both days for credit.
