State-Wide Virtual Safety Fest March 9-11, 2021

Safety Fest is typically held at 6 locations across Idaho: Post Falls, Boise, Idaho Falls, Twin Falls, Pocatello, and Lewiston.

LHTAC historically has been the event host for the Pocatello event and has sat on the executive planning committee for the Boise Safety Fest.

These 3-4 day conferences provide safety and health training to the Northwest Region’s front line workers while gearing classes towards the transportation and construction industry.

Local highway jurisdictions and any business looking to improve the safety performance of their employees are encouraged to attend.

Introduction to Bridge Scour Webinar Recording

Scour is the leading cause of bridge failure in the United States and a common issue for bridges in Idaho.  Primary learning objectives in this one hour webinar includes recognizing signs of scour and identifying various low-cost countermeasures to mitigate scour using local maintenance forces.  Presenters will also touch on bridge foundation types, example bridge failures due to scour, and sizing rip rap.
