57th Idaho Asphalt Conference – October 25-26

Announcing the 57th Idaho Asphalt Conference to be held October 25-26 at the Best Western Plus – University Inn in Moscow, Idaho. This annual conference is held under the auspices of the University of Idaho, the Idaho Transportation Department and the Asphalt Institute. The conference addresses issues related to asphalt pavements that are of concern to local and state governments as well as consulting engineering firms. (more…)

T2 Center Fall 2017 Classes

Registration for our fall classes will start in September. Click HERE to see a PDF listing the dates, course titles and locations. Registration will open as follows:

Northern Idaho September 5th at 8 a.m. MST
Western and S. Central Idaho September 6th at 8 a.m. MST
Eastern Idaho September 7th at 8 a.m. MST

How to Register

Go to http://t2.lhtac.org/, and use your existing user name and password to login. If you do not know your user name and password, contact the T2 Center at 208-344-0565 or email idahot2@lhtac.org.  Create a new account only if you or your employees have never taken a T2 Center class.

An email confirmation will be sent stating whether or not you are confirmed for the course.  If you are not confirmed, you will be placed on a waiting list and someone will notify you if an opening is available.  If you have questions, contact the LHTAC T2 Center 208-344-0565 or idahot2@lhtac.org.

Delivery of One-Time Safety Program

We are happy to confirm the on-time delivery of the FY 2017 One-Time Safety Program projects approved by the Idaho Transportation Board last year. LHTAC staff delivered all documents by July 31st.

Truck Route Designation Considerations for Local Government

Workshop Goals:

  • Discuss the importance of truck mobility and access to the economic vitality of the State and to local governments.
  • Roadway safety for all highway system users is non-negotiable; this will be an underlying principle driving Workshop discussions.
  • Tradeoffs are always at play when considering truck routes; safety is included as a tradeoff.
