The Local Highway Technical Assistance Council connects Local Highway Jurisdictions in Idaho with available resources for maintenance and construction of Idaho’s Local Highway System in the most efficient and effective manner possible.

 

It is our mission to advocate, support and train. We work hard to always represent Local Highway Jurisdictions’ best interest, deliver the highest quality assistance, and provide information and educational courses to every Local Highway Jurisdiction in Idaho. Bid Opening - June 2025

LHTAC will publicly open bids at its offices at 3330 Grace Street, Boise, ID. Openings will also be live-streamed via Microsoft Teams. Viewers can enter the Bid Opening meeting here on June 26, 2025, at 3 P.M MT. 

RFP for Brunner Rd BNSF Grade Separation

LHTAC and Lakes Highway District in Kootenai County are seeking proposals for the Brunner Rd BSNF Grade Separation project.  The proposals are due at LHTAC by 4:00 p.m. MDT on June 25, 2025.

Quarterly Reports - Q1

The Local Highway Technical Assistance Council (LHTAC) provides an important linkage between Local Highway Jurisdictions (LHJs) and the Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) in the utilization of Federal-aid highway funds available to the LHJs in Idaho. These quarterly progress reports include the status listing of current and upcoming LHTAC projects for each district.

LHTAC Offices Augmented Hours

LHTAC staff are operating on an augmented schedule.

M-Th: 7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.

Fri: 7:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Sat-Sun: Closed

The LHTAC offices will be open and phones will be staffed during these times. For after hours contacts, please visit our staff page.
