Deadline/Timeline
Project applications will be received by the Idaho Department of Parks & Recreation (IDPR) at the Boise office at least once per state fiscal year, typically in January. Applicants are encouraged to submit a draft application in December, giving department staff time to request any needed changes to make the project eligible. Grants must be received in the Boise office by 5 p.m., Friday, January 27, 2017 to be eligible for the grant cycle. Applications received during this grant period will be rated by the advisory committees in March, and awarded by the Idaho Park and Recreation Board in April or May. These funds are typically available after July 15th and applicants have one year to expend the funds.
Applications
A comprehensive, well-written application provides all the information necessary for IDPR staff and the advisory committees to review. Incomplete applications are subject to disqualification. The narrative is the heart of the application and is your opportunity to communicate the need of the project. The narrative should NOT exceed the space provided. While composing the narrative and assembling support materials, pay close attention to the evaluation criteria. The advisory committee evaluates your project only on the criteria.
Applications are due in the IDPR Boise Headquarters office by 5:00 p.m. (Mountain Time), on January 27, 2017. Late applications will not be considered. One original and 15 copies are required.
