Self-Consolidating Concrete Qualification

The Sampler/Tester Qualification Committee (STQC) has introduced a Self-Consolidating Concrete Testing Technician (SCCTT) Qualification for Samplers and Testers.

At LHTAC, we see the value that this qualification brings to a project and prefer that inspection staff obtain the qualification. That being said, this qualification will not be required for personnel working on LHTAC projects until the STQC and the Idaho Department of Transportation (ITD) formally require it. It is our understanding that the SCCTT qualification requirement will be adopted in the near future. Please ensure your staff is qualified appropriately when the time comes.

For questions on this please contact the Sampler/Tester Qualification Committee.

In-Person October 2021 LHTAC Workshop

Typically every fall LHTAC staff travels to across Idaho and presents a half-day workshop overviewing all our programs and the upcoming funding applications that are available to locals. Like most in-person events these moved virtual last year due to COVID-19.

We are excited to announce that we will be bringing back the “LHTAC Road Tour” once again!

During the month of October, we are planning 10 in-person workshops scattered across Idaho and will wrap the month up with a virtual session to catch anyone we missed.

Dates and locations are listed below. An RSVP for our in-person workshops is appreciated to help with seating, social distancing, and refreshments but is not required to attend.

Under this program, Idaho receives approximately $10M annually in freight apportioned (formula) funds, which ITD executes in accordance with the Fixing America’s Surface Transportation (FAST) act criteria. ITD may obligate these funds to improve the movement of freight on Idaho’s portion of the National Highway Freight Network (NHFN). (more…)
