This webinar will give an introduction to the ATSSA training course on work zone strategies available to work zone designers; to provide guidance to help you identify, evaluate, and select the most appropriate work zone strategy for your needs; and to discuss strategies as they relate to Transportation Management Plans (TMPs). Opportunities for work zone training on this topic under the FHWA Work Zone Safety Grant will also be discussed.

Federal Lands Access Program (FLAP) FY19 Approved Program

The Programming Decisions Committee (PDC) responsible for the Idaho Federal Lands Access Program (FLAP) has concluded the FY19 Call for Projects. The projects identified for programming are in future fiscal years (2020 to 2023). FLAP funded projects are listed in the link below in no particular order of priority.

Impactful Transit Agency and University Collaborations

The West Region Transportation Workforce Center is hosting a FREE, 1-hour webinar entitled Impactful Transit Agency and University Collaborations.

This webinar will be held Tuesday, November 5, 2019 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM Mountain Time.

How can we develop the skillsets of our future transit workforce while improving day-to-day operations? This webinar highlights successful collaborations between transit agencies and university students and faculty that accomplish both goals. Speakers will showcase collaborations that engage students in diverse transit-focused projects, providing students the opportunity to develop and apply knowledge to authentic problems in a real context, while providing agencies with fresh new ideas and focused energy on a task or issue.

EDC-5 Value Capture Innovation Peer Exchange

You are invited to attend the FHWA’s Everyday Count (EDC-5) Value Capture Innovation Peer Exchange in Las Vegas, Nevada on November 12th (afternoon) and November 13th (full day).  This peer exchange provides the opportunity for participants to learn from  expert states, cities, and counties and share their experiences with successfully implementing Value Capture strategies to advance transportation projects and programs.
