Tour
During our visit to Eastern Idaho last week the staff at LHTAC, Council Members and local community members took a half day tour through some of our past and present projects in Eastern Idaho. The tour included Stimulus, LHSIP, Federal-aid and LRHIP projects. The bus started in Idaho Falls with a Federal-aid project on 17th and Pancheri Street. This project included a new asphalt pavement riding course, seal coat, approach improvements, replacement of curb and gutter, installation of numerous ADA compliant sidewalk accesses and utility adjustments. The tour continued on through numerous projects in Idaho Falls, Rigby, Rexburg, Sugar City, St. Anthony and back through Ririe. Along the way we were able to see a few future project sites and even stop at Stone Bridge, an active project site, sponsored by Fremont County.
Interviews
As part of our Strategic Communication Plan LHTAC is working to reach out to local jurisdictions and talk about our current communication processes and what can be improved. On this trip we were able to meet and survey Bingham County, City of Shelley, City of Idaho Falls, City of Rigby and Fremont County. We appreciate these community members taking the time to discuss what we are doing well and what we can improve on. This will ultimately help us serve our jurisdiction better in the future.
If you are interested in providing feedback on our communication efforts please feel free to contact our Publication Specialist, she would be happy to meet with you.
Next Meeting
Mark your calendar for our next Council Meeting and Celebration. This one will be in Northern Idaho.
