Seth Grigg has been appointed executive director of the Association of Idaho Cities. Grigg will succeed retiring executive director Ken Harward.

Grigg is a policy analyst for the Idaho Association of Counties, where he has focused on property tax policy, the justice system, federal lands, and natural resource issues.

“Seth is a knowledgeable and articulate advocate on behalf of Idaho local governments,” said Mayor Tammy de Weerd of Meridian, President of the Association of Idaho Cities. “Seth’s expertise will be a great asset for AIC.”

Grigg has an undergraduate degree in English from Brigham Young University and a Masters of Public Administration from Boise State University. He has served as a graduate assistant for the BSU Public Policy Center and an intern for Zions Bank in government relations.

“I appreciate the opportunity to build on Ken Harward’s great legacy and work to advance the interests of Idaho cities,” Grigg said.

The Association of Idaho Cities was formed in 1947 and is a nonpartisan, nonprofit corporation organized to serve Idaho’s 200 incorporated cities. AIC influences policies and provides education, training and technical assistance to strengthen the ability of city elected officials and staff to serve their communities.
