Welcome Muhammad Zubery and Bryan Martin!

LHTAC is pleased to announce that we’ve recently hired two new employees to fill our vacant staff positions. They will be working as part of the Federal-aid Design team, covering separate regions of the state. Our Federal-aid Engineers assist Local Highway Jurisdictions (LHJs) in preparing projects and applications for submission for federal funding participation, provide project administration and oversight of consultants, contract bid documents and documents for constructing transportation projects. They are also responsible to assist LHJs with technical assistance and provide resources relating to their transportation issues.

Muhammad Zubery comes to us with 20 years of experience in the transportation field. Most recently Muhammad was working for the Idaho Transportation Department in District 3. When asked what transportation project he has worked on that has been the most rewarding he said, “The Broadway Bridge in Boise. I learned a lot while working on this project.” Muhammad comes from a family of engineers. After watching his 2 older brothers, he decided nothing would be better than to follow in their footsteps. Muhammad has been living in Boise since 1997 and loves spending time with his family. They enjoy biking, camping and skiing.

Bryan Martin is joining the team with 15 years of experience in the private sector at a civil engineering consultant firm and an additional 6 years at the Idaho Transportation Department. When asked what aspects of transportation and road building are his favorite, Bryan specified that he particularly enjoys hydraulics and bridge/culvert projects. Bryan is looking forward to assisting and serving LHJs. He is especially excited that his primary assignment will focus on Northern Idaho – ITD D2 area. Growing up in Lewiston and graduating from University of Idaho makes Bryan very familiar with the area and he looks forward to working with the LHJs that make up that community. When Bryan isn’t working, he enjoys camping with his wife and four children. Bryan also enjoys big game hunting, ATV riding and running trails to stay in shape.

We are excited to have Muhammad and Bryan join the team. We are finally back at our full staff level. With five full-time engineers on the design team, they will each be assigned a specific area of the state. Idaho has 288 LHJs and our goal is to support each and every one of them.
