LHTAC Gives Back to the Community

The Staff at the Local Highway Technical Assistance Council spent an afternoon volunteering at the Ronald McDonald House in Boise. The Ronald McDonald House Charities of Idaho, Inc. offers a temporary home away from home for families of ill or injured children receiving treatment at Boise medical facilities. Some of the volunteers prepared dinner and dessert for the guests of the house, while others were busy raking leaves, disinfecting toys, cleaning out the attic, washing baseboards and even deep cleaning the BBQ.

“It makes me realize how very thankful I am for my healthy children at home,” said Susan Lasuen, LHTAC’s Administrative Manager. “Being able to volunteer as an organization was a great teambuilding experience. And knowing what we were doing was directly and positively impacting families was so worthwhile.”
