Members of the Local Highway Technical Assistance Council gathered from around the state on Friday, September 14th in Boise to meet for their quarterly Council Meeting. At the meeting, they were greeted by the special guest speaker, Lieutenant Governor Brad Little. Lieutenant Governor Little focused his remarks on the current state of transportation funding. He also discussed traveling to different communities around the state and took questions from the group.
Prior to the meeting, Lieutenant Governor Little met with key members of LHTAC Staff and Council who highlighted successful programs, the current bridge funding needs, and the financial reporting process.
LHTAC thanks Lieutenant Governor Little for attending our Council meeting, and continuing to show his interest on the local transportation funding needs.
Other special guests in attendance were Senate Transportation Committee Chairman, Bert Brackett and Idaho Transportation Department Director, Brian Ness.
At the Council meeting Susan Lasuen, LHTAC’s Administrative Manager, was presented an innovation award from the Idaho Transportation Department. She was recognized for her efforts implementing efficiencies through the improvements in LHTAC’s billing and payment processes.
