Generations at Work

Today’s workplace comprises four distinct generations; each with its own shared history, common biases and core beliefs. Learning what makes each generation tick, and taking the time to consider your communication approach, will support more effective working relationships. This workshop will educate and stimulate discussion using the generational differences to advance working relationships.In this workshop, you will, appraise the characteristics, attitudes, values, and work styles of each generation; and learn to communicate more effectively and appreciate the people you work with to create and sustain a productive workforce.

Conflict Resolution – Getting Along in the Workplace
Many people see conflict as a negative experience. In fact, conflict is a necessary part of our personal growth and development.  However, conflict becomes an issue when the people involved cannot work through it. They become engaged in a battle that does not result in growth. When this type of conflict arises, negative energy can result, causing hurt feelings and damaged relationships. This course will give participants the tools that will help participants resolve conflict successfully and produce a win-win outcome to enhance productivity and performance.

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

    Understand what conflict is and how it can escalate.
    Understand the types of conflict.
    Recognize the five most common conflict resolution styles and when to use them.
    Develop effective techniques for resolving conflict.
