Public can help plan statewide public transportation in survey through May 5
BOISE – In January, the Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) held public meetings throughout Idaho to share information and learn more about public transportation in those areas. The agency is now launching district surveys to give individuals unable to attend those meetings an opportunity to provide input.
Citizens throughout Idaho have the opportunity through May 5 to use the online surveys to provide valuable input as service needs are being evaluated. The survey, separated into regions of the state, consist of 10 questions and should take 5 to 10 minutes to complete. The surveys are available in the “Statewide Public Transportation” section of the ITD Public Transportation page at http://itd.idaho.gov/pt/.
ITD is planning for the future of Idaho’s public transportation systems. Working with the public, regional transportation-planning organizations, and transit providers, planning is occurring both statewide and locally. The transportation plans will facilitate mobility for the citizens of Idaho as well as visitors to the state, helping to build the economy by getting workers to jobs and consumers to markets.
Participants are encouraged to share the survey link with friends, co-workers, neighbors, and professional networks. Prior to filling out a district survey, ITD recommends reviewing the open-house materials for your district that can be found in the Statewide Public Transportation Plan section mentioned above. More information about the project also can be found there.
LHTAC is sending this email out as a courtesy to inform locals about this opportunity. Please contact ITD directly with questions regarding this survey.
