LHTAC is sharing this resource on preventing the spread of infection disease in Highway Work Zones from ARTBA.
If you have questions please contact Brad Sant at bsant@artba.org.
ARTBA has produced a special 8-minute video to help employers train workers on safe procedures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and other pathogens that may contaminate a work zone. It is available here at no cost. ARTBA member firm CRH Americas Materials also has produced a free, 9-minute COVID-19 Safety video.
In partnership with the Construction Safety Industry Coalition, ARTBA also has developed industry-specific safety and health resources to help professionals prepare and respond to COVID-19 in the workplace. The materials are available to download in both English and Spanish.
ARTBA continues to compile information from a variety of resources to help keep members and other transportation construction professionals informed on key issues related to the pandemic. Check the ARTBA COVID-19 News and Resources webpage, which is regularly updated. April 8 additions include:
- Interim guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for Implementing Safety Practices for Critical Infrastructure Workers Who May Have Had Exposure to a Person with Suspected or Confirmed COVID-19.
- CDC also released a related “Do’s and Don’ts” poster for posting in workplaces.
- Updated “FAQs” from the Small Business Administration (SBA) related to the new “Paycheck Protection Program.”
