CALDWELL — City and highway officials are closer to determining where a new vehicular bridge will cross the Boise River near the Old Highway 30 Bridge once plans to retire that bridge and turn it into a pedestrian pathway are carried through.

The bridge is near a future 20-acre city park and the greenbelt path.

Located near the Exit 26 in Caldwell, the Old Highway 30 bridge, built in the 1920s, is a one-way bridge that provides transport for around 1,350 vehicles a day. Some of those drivers are traveling back and forth between Caldwell and Middleton.
