Radar Traffic Data Collection

LHTAC has Automated Traffic Recorders (ATRs) available to loan out to Local Highway Jurisdiction. Jurisdictions have the ability to borrow multiple ATRs and will be loaned out  on a first come first served basis. Each recorder or group of recorders includes a laptop with the necessary software, mounting hardware and batteries. LHTAC personnel are available to assist with initial setup and field placement, if needed. The traffic recorders are capable of measuring speed, volume and lengths of vehicles and can be used to conduct speed studies. The data gathered with the traffic recorders is the property of the Local Highway Jurisdictions.

If you would like to use the ATRs or have questions about them please contact Brian Wright bwright@lhtac.org or Rebecca Howell rhowell@lhtac.org at LHTAC.
