ITD-PT Announcement of One-Time Application!

Great news from the Public Transportation Office!

We are happy to announce and release a grant funding opportunity through the One-Time Application. Public Transportation providers throughout Idaho can submit a one-time application beginning August 22nd, 2016 for a share of more than $1.2 million in funding available statewide, within the 5310 (Elderly & Disabled), 5339 (Bus & Bus Facilities), and the Vehicle Investment Program (VIP). DRAFT Idaho Transportation Investment Program (ITIP)

Comment Period Extended – August 26, 2016

The Idaho Transportation Department is providing this draft of the FY17 to FY21 ITIP to allow transportation agencies and the public to review and provide comments on the program.

LHTAC entered projects into the draft program based on ranking of applications and available funds. We started with #1 and move down the list as the estimated funds were distributed. The Draft ITIP is available for public comment July 1-30, 2016 (Note: Now Extended to August 26th). The ITIP will not be final until the IT Board approves it in September. Please view the applications ranking with projects included in the draft program below:

HB312 Distributions – Quarter 3

The third distribution of HB312 funds was released in April.

ITD Payments to Local Governments – Highway Distribution Account (HDA) FY16 QTR3

Please remember that reporting will need to be done on the additional HB312 revenue that your jurisdictions are receiving. Reporting for the HB312 revenue will be collected yearly on the Road & Street Finance Report.

New House Bill 343 Corrects Special Fuel Tax

That means more funding for LOCALS!
The legislature enacted HB343 that corrects the distribution formula and HB626 authorizes the transfer of the funds from special fuels.

In result of these two bills you will see a small additional distribution in July 2016. These funds are part of your Highway Distribution Account dollars and should be reported with the HB312 funds.

According to HB626 the State Controller is authorized to transfer the corrections. Below you find a summary of the transfers:

• $571,388.94 to the Local Highway Distribution Account
