Webinar: Western Federal Lands Highway Division will hold a webinar to provide information to potential applicants on the FLAP, eligibility, evaluation criteria, how to submit proposals, and helpful hints for filling out proposal forms. Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation is putting on workshops for their grant funding.  These are for the 2021 (FY23) grant applications.  Applications are accepted until January 28, 2022 and must be submitted electronically at the website below.

In preparations for Idaho State Freight Plan update, ITD needs to update our freight related (funded) project.

2021 Idaho Highway Freight Program Project Solicitation (PDF)

Generally, National Highway Freight Program (NHFP) funds must contribute to the efficient movement of freight on the National Highway Freight Network (NHFN) and be in the freight investment plan included in the State’s freight plan. Under this program, Idaho receives approximately $10M annually in freight apportioned (formula) funds, which ITD executes in accordance with the Fixing America’s Surface Transportation (FAST) act criteria. Every April we solicit your feedback in the form of an open comment period. 

The LHTAC Council reviews and takes into consideration all comments and feedback received. Any changes to applications are approved at the September Council meeting and appear in the final release of applications in the fall.
