The Local Highway Technical Assistance Council (LHTAC) manages a variety of funding programs to assist Local Highway Jurisdictions in utilizing available resources for maintenance and construction of Idaho’s Local Highway System.

Applications will be posted online by the end of this month (September 2020) and available to download at www.lhtac.org.

Local Rural Highway Investment Program (LRHIP)

Federal-aid Urban Transportation Plan & Federal-aid Urban Construction

Local Highway Safety Improvement Program (LHSIP)

The draft Idaho Transportation Investment Program (ITIP) lists proposed projects for the next seven years (FY21-27), and includes programmed improvements to highways, bicycle routes, airports, pedestrian projects, freight, safety projects, bridges and public transportation. (more…)

After a marathon two-day markup session, the House of Representatives Transportation & Infrastructure Committee passed its $494 billion surface transportation reauthorization bill on June 18 by a party-line vote of 35 to 25.

Altogether 34 Republican amendments and 23 Democratic amendments to the bill – entitled Investing in a New Vision for the Environment and Surface Transportation or the INVEST in America Act – were adopted.
