LHTAC is hosting a demonstration workshop on GRS-IBS bridge construction near Jerome, Idaho – November 2016.
The Local Highway Technical Assistance Council (LHTAC) applied for Incentive Funding to provide a demonstration workshop on a Geosynthetic Reinforced Soil–Integrated Bridge System (GRS–IBS) bridge construction in southeast Idaho. The workshop will include a half day of class instruction using FHWA experts and half day of onsite observation of the construction. (more…)
Federal-aid
Federal-aid applications were rated and ranked by LHTAC Council and Staff. The projects will be entered into the new Draft ITIP this Spring depending on the available funds. We will start with #1 and move down the list as the estimated funds are distributed. The Draft ITIP will be available for public comment in June. The ITIP will not be final until the IT Board approves it in September. (more…)
U.S. Transportation Secretary Foxx Announces $500 Million in Eighth Round of TIGER Funding

LHTAC was successful in preparing and delivering our House Bill 312 (HB312) report on the expenditure of local highway jurisdiction funds from the new tax law. HB312 directed LHTAC to submit a report informing the legislature on the use of the money and ongoing maintenance funding needs on the local system. This report was delivered to the Senate Transportation Committee and House Transportation and Defense Committee on January 11, 2016. (more…)
