GRS-IBS Workshop Kuna Road Demonstration Flyer (PDF)

The Local Highway Technical Assistance Council received funding to provide a demonstration workshop on Geosynthetic Reinforced Soil–Integrated Bridge System (GRS–IBS) bridge construction in southern Idaho. NAMPA — The City of Nampa recently celebrated the grand reopening of Greenhurt Road.

The project lost some of its funding earlier this year when the city needed more money for construction on 11th Avenue North and an upcoming project on Second Street South and Third Street South downtown. This funding shift threatened to postpone the project until at least 2025.   (more…)

What: The following survey is to develop an in-depth understanding of gravel road safety issues (road closures) currently affecting the operational characteristics of people and goods in rural and tribal communities.

Why: Once unpaved roads’ safety issues are identified, the results of this research will potentially help those communities by enhancing the condition of the unpaved roads and increase their mobility.
