Elijah Drain Project – Greenhurst Road

NAMPA — The City of Nampa recently celebrated the grand reopening of Greenhurt Road.

The project lost some of its funding earlier this year when the city needed more money for construction on 11th Avenue North and an upcoming project on Second Street South and Third Street South downtown. This funding shift threatened to postpone the project until at least 2025.   (more…)

Boise Safety Fest Registration is Open!

We would like to inform locals about this FREE safety event. Courses are open to everyone and anyone, but they do fill up fast. Some classes can also be applied as partial or full elective credit in the T2 Center’s Road Scholar and Master Program.

Unpaved Road Survey

Please answer this 1 minute (4 Questions Survey). Your feedback will help better understand the effects of gravel road closures in rural Idaho areas.

What: The following survey is to develop an in-depth understanding of gravel road safety issues (road closures) currently affecting the operational characteristics of people and goods in rural and tribal communities.

Why: Once unpaved roads’ safety issues are identified, the results of this research will potentially help those communities by enhancing the condition of the unpaved roads and increase their mobility.

Safety Fest is an annual training event that offers over around 60 free safety and health training to workers, supervisors, and managers of all levels. The Boise Safety Fest event is scheduled for January 22-24, 2019 and will include a vendor show on January 22nd and 23rd. (more…)

Despite Obstacles Pine Road Bridge Opens on Schedule

Concrete Placing Company (CPC) began construction of Pine Road Bridge in July of 2017 under the management of Zane Reed. Early into the construction it was determined that the original design of the bridge structure which included two piers in the river channel was not constructible due to a large, solid obstruction just beneath the surface of the river bottom. Continuing the original design and attempting to address the obstruction could have delayed the road from re-opening for another year with significant construction and environmental issues. (more…)
