Updated manual to focus on new highway technologies
WASHINGTON – The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) today announced it is pursuing an update to the “Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices for Streets and Highways”—the MUTCD—in preparation for the future of automated vehicles and to afford states and local communities with more opportunities to utilize innovation. The first is at 9:30 a.m. in Post Falls and the second at 4 p.m. in Sandpoint. These projects were funded by a Local Strategic Initiative (LSI) grant administered by the Local Highway Technical Assistance Council (LHTAC).

This week and every week, parents should have conversations with their teens about the important rules they need to follow to stay safe behind the wheel of a passenger car, truck, or SUV.
