Emergency Relief Funding – Round 5

Application deadline is February 28, 2018

This is a great opportunity to seek funding to repair roads and bridges that were damaged during last spring’s weather events. Please consider applying for Emergency Relief Regardless of the severity of damage. This can include seeking reimbursement for repairs you made, or to help fund repairs you have not constructed. To date, all eligible projects have been funded.

The Emergency Relief Fund (ERF) Panel, in cooperation with the Idaho Office of Emergency Management (IOEM) will be opening up a 5th opportunity for local jurisdictions to submit applications for funding from the Emergency Relief Fund (ERF). The LHTAC T2 Center offers a variety of courses aimed to grow and aid our local road professionals. The upcoming class schedule has been released. Classes will open for registration in phases based on class location:

  • Northern Idaho Registration Opens February 13
  • Western & South Central Idaho Registration Opens February 14
  • Eastern Idaho Registration Opens February 15

LHTAC and FHWA are Hosting a Bike and Pedestrian Workshop in May

The Local Highway Technical Assistance Council (LHTAC) received incentive funding to provide a demonstration workshop on Safe Transportation for Every Pedestrian (STEP). The two day workshop will include class instruction using FHWA experts and an onsite observation.  (more…)

OHS FFY19 Grant Applications Now Being Accepted

Greetings Idaho Highway Safety Partner:

We are now accepting applications for Idaho Office of Highway Safety/National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) federal grants for federal fiscal year 2019 (FFY19). Grant funding supports priority highway safety program areas including safety restraint use, distracted driving, impaired driving, aggressive driving, youthful drivers, roadway safety/traffic records, and other problem areas.  The open grant period begins Monday, January 8th, 2018 and concludes at end of business on February 8th, 2018.
