Public Comment – DRAFT ITIP

Attention Locals – ITD is looking for your feedback

DRAFT Idaho Transportation Investment Program (ITIP)

Comment Period – July 1-30

The Idaho Transportation Department is providing this draft of the FY19 to FY25 ITIP to allow transportation agencies and the public to review and provide comments on the program.

LHTAC entered projects into the draft program based on ranking of applications and available funds. We started with #1 and move down the list as the estimated funds were distributed. The Draft ITIP is available for public comment July 1-30, 2018. The ITIP will not be final until the IT Board approves it in September.

New Application Rankings

The Local Highway Technical Assistance Council met on Friday, March 9th and approved the following rankings:

Federal-aid

Federal-aid applications were rated and ranked by LHTAC Council and Staff. The projects will be entered into the new Draft ITIP this Spring depending on the available funds. We will start with #1 and move down the list as the estimated funds are distributed. The Draft ITIP will be available for public comment in July. The ITIP will not be final until the IT Board approves it in September.

Fiscal Year 2019 LRHIP applications have been graded and the rankings are posted below. Projects above the solid line are scheduled to be funded for Fiscal Year 2019.

LHTAC is looking for YOUR FEEDBACK!

Public Comments on LHTAC’s Funding Applications will be taken April 9-27.The Local Highway Technical Assistance Council (LHTAC) will be accepting comments and suggestions for improvements on our current funding applications.

Areas open for comment include: the application process, format of applications, questions/scoring etc.

Comments must be submitted to lhtac@lhtac.org by April 27, 2018.
Please use LHTAC APPLICATION COMMENTS in the subject field of the email.

Prior to new applications coming out in fall of 2018, the LHTAC Council will review and take into consideration the comments received. Changes to applications will be approved at the September Council meeting and will appear in the final release of applications in fall of 2018.

Long-Range Transportation Plan Steering Committee Meeting

The Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) is updating its long-range transportation plan, IDAGO 2040. The update is part of an ongoing process that identifies transportation challenges in Idaho and best practices to overcome those challenges. The updated plan will help ITD define transportation goals and assist in developing investment and operational strategies within available funding parameters.

Emergency Relief Funding – Round 5

Application deadline is February 28, 2018

This is a great opportunity to seek funding to repair roads and bridges that were damaged during last spring’s weather events. Please consider applying for Emergency Relief Regardless of the severity of damage. This can include seeking reimbursement for repairs you made, or to help fund repairs you have not constructed. To date, all eligible projects have been funded.

The Emergency Relief Fund (ERF) Panel, in cooperation with the Idaho Office of Emergency Management (IOEM) will be opening up a 5th opportunity for local jurisdictions to submit applications for funding from the Emergency Relief Fund (ERF). The application, along with application guidance, eligibility requirements, and prioritization of projects can be found at www.IOEM.idaho.gov under the Hot Topics link. (more…)
