RAISE  – Request for Information (RFI)

INTRODUCTION:

LHTAC is hiring an engineering consulting firm to create a Rebuilding American Infrastructure with Sustainability and Equity (RAISE) application to secure funding through the USDOT for 3700 North Road in western Twin Falls County, Idaho. The consultant will be tasked with reviewing the existing information provided (see attached), working with Filer HD, Buhl HD, and Twin Falls HD to update scope and costs, and turning the data into a complete RAISE application. 

The RAISE application is due July 12th and LHTAC’s estimated cost of developing the application is approximately $15k to $30k. (more…)

Building Idaho’s Future – One time moneys

Local Jurisdictions Receive One-Time Funds for Building Idaho’s Future Program Investments in Local Roads & Bridges

Cities, highway districts, and counties (with road and bridge responsibility) are receiving additional revenue this year as a result of the state’s large General Fund surplus.  The Governor signed House Bill 308 into law on March 23 and the bill took effect immediately, transferring $47.2 million from the state General Fund to the Local Highway Distribution Fund for local road and bridge maintenance and construction.

There are no restrictions on the use of the revenues other than being dedicated for local road and bridge purposes.

Governor Little’s Building Idaho’s Future Plan involves tax relief and strategic investments in transportation, water and agriculture, broadband and economic development, education, public safety, and state facilities. (more…)

MUTCD Draft Informational Webinar Recordings

FHWA recently hosted a series of webinars introducing the MUTCD draft currently open for public comment. Interest was high and seats were limited. Recordings of these webinars are now available. A PDF of the presentation given during the webinars can be downloaded from within the recordings in the “Download Files” box at the bottom of the screen (please note that after clicking on Download Files, the file will open in a new window).

Public comments on the proposed MUTCD update are being accepted through May 14, 2021.

Custer County Road & Bridge—Gravel Road Maintenance Seminar
