The Local Highway Technical Assistance Council (LHTAC) administers this program, including the solicitation and awarding of projects. It is divided into two categories, infrastructure projects and non-infrastructure activity (formerly Safe Routes to School).

2022 TAP Rankings

LHTAC received 41 applications for funding from FY22 to FY25. There was an increase in Federal funds for these years. All 41 applications are funded.

The Local Highway Technical Assistance Council (LHTAC) has agreed to manage the projects that are primarily on the local system and the ITD will manage projects primarily on the state system.
